Making Space For Everyone

Rest & Reconnect LV is designed with accessibility in mind. We are committed to making every event as welcoming and flexible as possible.

Virtual Meeting Accessibility

For online events, you can expect:

Live captions are available during video calls. Participants can choose to engage through text chat instead of speaking if they prefer. Cameras are optional and there is no expectation to turn video on. Platforms are selected to be compatible with screen readers whenever possible.

Events are browser-based and typically do not require accounts or special downloads. Participants can usually join by simply following a link.

If you need a specific accommodation for virtual meetings, you can reach us at rest-and-reconnect-social [at] proton [dot] me or on Signal. In April 2026 we hope to secure funding for ASL interpreters.

In-Person Meeting Accessibility

For physical events, we aim to:

Choose wheelchair-accessible venues whenever possible, including locations with automatic doors. We prioritize free or low-cost public spaces such as libraries or community centers and provide location details in advance, including information about parking and public transportation.

Events are kept free to attend whenever possible; participants are welcome to bring their own food or drinks.

If you have specific mobility, sensory, or other access needs for in-person events, please let us know and we will work to accommodate them whenever possible.

General Flexibility

Participants are always welcome to join late or leave early; take breaks during meetings; step away from conversations when needed; and participate as much or as little as feels comfortable.

There is no attendance requirement. Participants are not required to remain engaged the entire time.

Questions Or Requests?

If you have accessibility questions or need a specific accommodation, you can contact us at rest-and-reconnect-social [at] proton [dot] me. We respond within a day or two whenever possible.
